What is Real Rooted Rituals?

Real Rooted Rituals is a woman-founded brand from rural Oklahoma (est. 2025) focused on simple, consistent daily rituals that support real well-being. We favor clean, skin-kind ingredients, cruelty-free practices, and sustainability-minded decisions.

Rituals are short, repeatable steps done with intention. We keep it to four: Cleanse, Treat, Moisturize, Protect. Small habits, kept daily, create visible results.

Start with those four steps. Morning: cleanse, treat, moisturize, protect (SPF). Night: cleanse, treat, moisturize. Give any change 2–4 weeks before you tweak.

Hydration and comfort can improve in days; tone and texture usually need 2–6 weeks of steady use.

What does “clean” mean to you?

Ingredients chosen to nourish skin while avoiding harsh chemicals and known endocrine disruptors where possible. Transparent INCI labeling helps keep each formula clear and purpose-driven.

They’re chemicals that can interfere with hormone signaling. Concern in personal care is mostly about cumulative daily exposure. We avoid known or suspect disruptors where possible and keep routines short to reduce overall exposure.

Our formulas are gentle and supportive of the skin’s natural balance and are developed with dermatology guidance and real-world testing. This is not a blanket endorsement from any specific association.

Not all products are claimed as vegan. Cruelty-free refers to no animal testing, not ingredient origin. Check the individual product page for composition details.

Fragrance-free avoids added fragrance. Unscented can include masking fragrance. If you’re sensitive, choose fragrance-free options.

INCI is the standardized naming for ingredients on labels. It lets you compare formulas across brands without marketing names getting in the way.

Apply a small amount behind the ear or along the jawline for 24–48 hours. Introduce only one new product at a time if you’re sensitive.

Start simple: one active per step. Add more only when your skin feels calm and consistent.

What order should I apply products?

Thinnest to thickest: toner/essence → serum → cream → oil → SPF (AM only).

Cleanser: nickel-size. Serum: 1–2 pumps or 2–4 drops. Moisturizer: pea to almond. SPF: two fingers for face and neck.

Pilling usually happens when products don’t absorb properly or there’s too much layering. Use a bit less product, allow 30–60 seconds between layers, and go thinnest to thickest.

Spot-treat: lighter textures on the T-zone, creamier on dry areas. Keep the overall ritual short and consistent.

Do you test on animals?

No. We follow cruelty-free practices—no animal testing at any stage, and we don’t ask others to test on our behalf.

No. Cruelty-free is about testing practices; vegan is about ingredient origin. A product can be one, the other, or both.

Avoid it. Fragrance levels, essential oils, and actives meant for human skin can be unsafe—especially for cats and small dogs. Use pet-formulated products and follow the label.

What do you do to reduce environmental impact?

We design with sustainability in mind: local sourcing where possible, fair-trade and socially responsible partners, water-conscious processes, and awareness of footprint from sourcing to packaging.

Most mixed-material pumps aren’t curbside-recyclable. Remove the pump and recycle the bottle or jar when possible. Check your local guidelines.

Rinse containers, remove non-recyclable pumps, and sort according to local rules. Keeping a small “empties” bin nearby makes it automatic.

How do I read a label fast?

Find the INCI list, read the first five ingredients, look for hydrators and soothers (glycerin, squalane, panthenol, oat), watch for vague “fragrance/parfum” high on the list, and favor clear, specific naming.

Hydrators (glycerin, hyaluronic acid), barrier helpers (squalane, jojoba, ceramides), calmers (panthenol, allantoin, oat), and modern preservative systems used appropriately.

Vague “fragrance/parfum” near the top, harsh drying alcohols high in leave-ons, and dated surfactants in facial cleansers. Context matters, but those deserve a second look.

What They Say About Us

"I am on bottle 2, and I love it!!! It hydrates and softens lines, and I believe it helps keep the “puffiness” under the eyes down quite a bit!!!"

Face Serum

"This is super fantastic. I have never really used a tallow, mostly because of the smell!!! This one does not have that odor of tallow and it’s smooth and silky!!! In fact it has a very soft scent that does not overwhelm the senses!!!"

Ritual #3 Face Cream

Trust Their Voices

"And then She made a tincture for my 10-year-old fur baby, for her pain and inflammation!! And she appears to be more active and wanting to move around more!! ( and I am so thankful) So, I will need to order more because her “senior years” will be the best ever!!!! Thank you for helping us!!!"

Julie

"I work in maintenance so I’m outside all day long, I started using the face serum several months ago and my face is so soft and smooth. I like that I can use it every day and it doesn’t irritate my face with harsh chemicals. And also I use the salve for my feet because I’m a runner and endure lots of rough terrain and the salve helps prevent blisters and keep my feet nice and smooth! And my most favorite I use daily is the tincture, definitely helps my muscle aches and pains! And it doesn’t make me feel weird like pain pills would."

Casey

"I have the most sensitive and delicate skin, which makes it pretty difficult to find products that my body agrees with, let alone my face. I’ve been using the R3 charcoal face bar for a few months now, and it has become my one and only face-cleansing step. It’s nourishing, gentle, and leaves my skin feeling so smooth, even after full days/evenings of wearing makeup. Actually knowing and being able to pronounce the ingredients in skincare this good is few and far between. My holy grail!"

Jetta

"I have used the Healer’s Remedy Salve! This is amazing. I have used it for muscle fatigue, bug bites, breakouts and hemorrhoids. Don’t know if this is its intent, but it worked. I try to keep this in stock, because it has turned into my multipurpose go-to. I love it!"
